Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce, known as RAMAC, is the chamber of commerce for the greater Racine area supporting a broad and diverse membership base by offering a variety of pro-business and pro-community programs and initiatives.
In other Belle City Magazine articles we have highlighted a few of our programs such as Leadership Racine, Young Professionals of Racine and our popular networking events called Business Blenders. But we offer even more for the business community through quality training opportunities and strategic partnerships.
RAMAC facilitates various training programs bringing in experts, speakers and leaders to share their knowledge and expertise in a number of formats. As the chamber of commerce, we offer these opportunities for companies that may not have a large training budget. Using RAMAC for your educational needs is cost effective and promises to be beneficial to your employees looking for some topic-expert training or building on a specific skill set.
RAMAC currently offers these educational opportunities, with plans to facilitate even more in the near future.
Marketing Breakfasts are held bi-monthly (six sessions per year). These sessions focus on a timely topic in the broad field of marketing and includes time for attendees to network and share ideas. Subject matter experts cover topics such as social media, using video, market research and working with the media. You are welcome at these bi-monthly sessions whether your position has a marketing title or if you conduct marketing duties as one of your many job responsibilities.
You may visit racinechamber.com and go to the calendar of events to register for upcoming marketing breakfasts. They are held the first Friday of the month in August, October, December, February, April and June.
The Supervision Series is a valuable training program designed for new frontline leaders or those wishing to move into such a position. The series includes sessions on communication, conflict resolution and trust building, as well as highlighting important human resources and employment law topics. RAMAC has offered this training for years through various partners but starting this September will be working with MRA to provide this training at the RAMAC offices.
You may get more details and register for the upcoming Supervision Series (starting in September) by calling RAMAC at (262) 636-1931.
The Forklift Training is offered on Thursdays at an offsite location. Participants receive operator safety training for forklifts and self-propelled aerial lift platforms. The instruction includes classroom training, hands-on operation of the equipment and training manuals.
You may get more details and register for any upcoming forklift session by calling RAMAC at (262) 634-1931 or coming directly to our office at 300 Fifth St.
As the greater Racine area’s chamber of commerce, RAMAC strives to provide educational opportunities that will help local employers improve their business climate and workforce needs. RAMAC will be bringing more educational programs to the forefront as the needs of our business community continue to grow.
