One of the many joys of publishing Belle City Magazine is the incredible variety of people we get to meet and the super cool places we get to go.
Here’s a sampling from the last couple weeks:
Our Rotary exhange student from Brazil, Nick Retief, tagged along when we hung out with the Root River Rollers at Memorial Hall. I was setting up the team for the photo while Carl got the camera ready, completely unaware that we were the subject of Nick’s photo shoot. I believe this will be his first photo credit.
We were also not paying attention to the whereabouts of the photographer at the Downtown Racine Corporation public art auction at Wingspread when we were viewed from above chatting with the lovely Ashley Staeck, who serves as Foundation’s program officer.
And yes, we were totally posing for this shot at the Racine Zoo Debut. And why not? It’s not every day I get to have a date with a man in a tux.
Where are we going next month? Well, we always start off with a basic plan and by the time we go to press things have changed to something different and usually more interesting than we first imagined. That’s the beauty of this creative journey. Thanks for coming along.
