Did you know that the second week of February is when 80 percent of people give up on their new year’s resolution goals. 80 percent!!
This is usually due to the intensity of making a lifestyle change and a lack of consistency. Exercise is a great example of why staying consistent and disciplined toward your goals is so important.
A lot of people think that the more intense the workout, the faster the results. However, it is the frequency and consistency that ultimately get you the results you desire. If you go to the gym and put yourself through a grueling workout, but then look at your reflection and your body composition hasn’t changed it is normal to feel discouraged.
However, it is important to be realistic and understand one workout or even three weeks’ worth of workouts, will not drastically change your composition and body image.
The good news is that if you stick with it and keep going for multiple days and weeks, for at least two to three months, you build a habit of working out and the results will follow.
