About the Owner:
Morakot draws his culinary influences from a family steeped in traditional Thai food. His aunt operates four restaurants in Bangkok and has twice won Iron Chef Thailand. Morakot and his wife, Nanthaphon (who is trained in traditional Thai and Chinese cooking), travel frequently to Thailand to train with his aunt and cousins who are also successful restaurateurs. He describes his 13+ years in the restaurant business as constantly improving through training, education and attending industry events such as the Chicago Food Show. “Good cooking starts with good ingredients, locally sourced when possible, passion and lots of hard work. 90 percent is hard work and 10 percent is talent,” according to Morakot.
